SuiteFactory is a Secure Client Server Database Driven Suite of Applications consists of eight Integrated Executables, including SuiteFactory Runtime, designed for Real-Time Intra Executable Messaging. This assures that all of your Data is update Real-Time allowing you to Manage and Control all of your Company's Data & Machine Tool Communications with Confidence. A Brief Explanation of these Executables Follows:
The DNC Communications Server is responsible for provding the communications channel between SuiteFactory and All CNC Machine Tools. These can be Wireless, RS232, FTP & UNC. An important Feature of the DNC Communications Engine is it can have Multiple Instances simultaneously deployed on different computers connected to the Network on which SuiteFactory is executing. This Feature allows for off-loading heavy Communications Loads on any particular computer to any other less stressed computer. As an example if you were using one computer to communicate with 100 Machine Tools all doing high speed milling in Drip Feed Mode there is no way that this one computer could handle this load. So you could share this load with other computers!
This Feature also allows you to move SuiteFactory's DNC Communications Engine from this computer to other if this computer were to go off-line which would stop production. Not a good situation! The ability to deploy The DNC Communications Engine on any number of computers allows different departments to have their computers run The Communications Engine for supporting only their Machine Tools! The DNC Communications Engine is EventAware(this feature needs to be turned on) and will record all downloads & uploads in SuiteFactory's database for generating ISO Reports.
Only one instance of The Maintenace Engine can be executing at one time but can be executing on any computer on the Network where SuiteFactory is executing. The Maintenance Engine has the responsibility for automatically importing all Files and Documents into SuiteFactory's database and associating these with the correct resources such as Virtual File Cabinets, Resoure Collections/Machine Tools and Packets. This feature can be used by Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Office, etc to easily import these Files/Documents/Packet and automatically associate these with the correct resources automatically. The Maintenace Engine is also responsible for picking up and sending messages from/to FTP & UNC Machine Tools so remote requests for non-RS232 can be serviced. The Maintenance Engine is EventAware(this feature needs to be turned on) and will record all imports & other transactions in SuiteFactory's database for generating ISO Reports.
The DNC Editor is a specialized Editor designed for N/C Type Files. It provides the standard features, Cut, Copy, Paste, Find & Replace, etc. and special features that are needed when editing DNC File. Some of these are Resequence, Unsequence, Mirroring, Scaling, Translating, etc. The DNC Editor is also EventAware(this feature needs to be turned on) and will Interrogate you as to the changes you are making and will record this for generating ISO Reports.
SuiteFactory consists of a Suite of Mutli-User Multi-Tasking Integrated Applications which provide inter-program communications to maintain real-time Data and Event exchanges. The Exchange Messages Executable is responsible the message exchanges between the various applications so they all have access to the same Real-Time Data & Events.
The Communications Helper is responsible for off-loading those task from the Communications Engine that would interfer with its abililty to respond to Real-Time Events from the Machine Tools. This could be the Saving of Files, Parsing Requests from the Machine Tool, Parsing of Events from the Machine Tool, etc.
The Path & Serial Port Validator is responsible for off-loading the tasks from SuiteFactory Runtime and the Communications Engine of checking to make sure that any established paths(folder locations network wide) are available and that the requested RS232 Ports are available to the The Communications Engine.
If the requested Paths and or Ports are not available this would interfer with SuiteFactory's Runtime Execution and the Communications Engine's ability to service other validated RS232 Ports. In order to not inhibit SuiteFactory this responsiblity is off-loaded to the Path & Serial Port Validator!
This is used by CCI to Trace For Specific type of Errors and should never by seen by a general User. This needs to be activated by using particular command line commands. If you see this running please call.
For a brief Overview of SuiteFactory's various Executables & Components and modules click on any of menus to the Left.
The DNC Communications Engine is a Flexible Integrated Application with build in load balancing capabilities so Administrators can simultaneously deploy it on multiple Workstations for on-the-fly load balancing. Each of these instances provides Full Communications To and From any number of unique Machine Tools.
These instances are responsible for passing any remote requests, emails, uploaded DNC Files and CNC Machine Events back to SuiteFactory where these are processed and checked by EventAwareTM(pdf) or (html) Technologies to assure that all of SuiteFactory's Users & Applications are continually in Sync.
The DNC Communications Engine also provides a detailed view of what is happening at each of the Machine Tools it is servicing such as uploads, downloads, remote requests, port availability, communication errors, general errors, etc.
The DNC Communications Engine is the Module that provides the RS232, FTP or UNC Communication's between SuiteFactoryTM(pdf) or (html) and all of the Machine Tools on your Shop Floor. It is also responsible for capturing any data output from the Machine Tool Controllers such as: DNC Files, CNC Remote Request Commands or CNC Machine Events and passing these on the DNC Communications Helper which parses , processes, determines & sends responses if needed and records all of the associated Events in SuiteFactoryTM(pdf) or (html).
The DNC Communications Server provides a Global View of Each Machine Tool's: State(receiving, sending), Repeat, Load Mode, Bytes Received, Bytes Sent, remote requests, etc. This View is also a visual indication of all the Machine Tools being serviced by this Workstation. It should be noted that if the communications load is too great for this Workstation SuiteFactory allows you to run the DNC Communications Engine on multiple Workstations for load balancing. This feature is also a lifesaver should this Workstation fail during normal operations since it only takes a few minutes to reconfigure a new Communication's Workstation minimizing downtime so normal operations can continue.
The DNC Communications Server Application operates independently co-existing with SuiteFactory's RunTime, Maintenance Engine, Communications Helper, DNC Editor, etc. on any Workstation connected to the network so you can selectively operate these Applications on the Workstations best suited for your Operations!
It supports SuitFactory's Unique Error Capturing Feature, SuiteErrorLogTM(pdf) or (html), which Captures & Reports all Errors that are encounted such as Network Unavailability, DNC Communciations Port Unavailability, etc. and Logs it to the Error Log.
When an Error is captured a Greenie Face Icon is display on the Status Bar which allows you to click on this and view the Error quickview. When Errors happen, which they do, we don't shrug our shoulders say its not us we record the facts so we can help you our customer and ourselves by using these logs to locate bugs, network instabilities, etc. and produce a more stable SuiteFactoryTM(pdf) or (html).
The Status Bar at the Bottom of the Communications Window provides information on this Workstation, date, time, errors and communications mode!
The Maintenance Engine has four critial rolls that it plays and is the work horse for automatically importing all of your Files, Documents, Packets and UNC & FTP CNC Remote Requests so SuiteFactoryTM(pdf) or (html) can process these using EventAwareTM(pdf) or (html) Technologies for continually Syncing Users & Applications.
Is to automatically import DNC Files into SuiteFactoryTM(pdf) or (html). This is accomplished by assigning a Window's Folder to an internal Resource within SuiteFactory called a "Resource Collection". Whenever Files are placed into this Window's Folder, lets say by an Engineer, and the Maintenance Engine is running these Files will automatically be imported into the associated Resource Collection(ISO9000 Compliant database). Any Users that have the "Rights" to this Resource Collection can access these DNC Files.
Is to automatically Import Engineering & Office Documents into SuiteFactory'sTM SuiteFileCabinetsTM(pdf) or (html). Like Resource Collections File Cabinets can associate a Window's Folder to an internal Resource within SuiteFactory called a "File Cabinet". These Documents can be of any type: Excel, Word, Power Point, MasterCam, etc. Once Imported into SuiteFactory they can be Securely Managed and controlled to ISO9000 Requirements such as Revision Control, Histories, the Who, What, When, Where & Whys, etc.
Is to automatically Import Packets(a predefined folder structure) into SuiteFactory'sTM SuiteFileCabinetsTM(pdf) or (html) and automatically create and populate these Packets with the DNC Files, Manufacturing Documents & Sub-Packets as contained within this folder structure. This flexability allows an Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, etc. to create a folder structure of Files & Documents outside of SuiteFactory and imported these into SuiteFactory which provides ISO Management & Control for all these Packets, Documents, Files & Projects.
Is to automatically Export SuiteFactoryTM(pdf) or (html) DNC File List to a predefined location on the network only if changes occur. This Report can be output in many different formats such as: Excel, Text, Access, etc.
The Maintenance Engine can run one instance system wide on any Workstation where SuiteFactory is operating. It can co-exist with SuiteFactory's Runtime & DNC Communication's Engine.

View & Manage all of your Machine Tool's Queues, Remote Requests, DNC File's Safe Starts and view active File Transfer's Status! You can also restart a stuck Communications Port without restarting the Communications Engine.
SuiteRuntime's Monitor CNC Machines Window allows you to quickly alter Queues, work with remote requests, abort & restart jobs, start jobs from safe start, "Unstick" Communication Ports as sometimes is needed when a CNC Machine Tool is shutoff, etc.
Note: From the above SuiteFactory Runtime Application you can click on the Monitor Machines Icon to access the complete Features and Functions used to Manage your CNC Machine Tool Queues. See the following Window for a more detailed View.
After the Monitor Machines Window appears, see above, click the drop down list arrow on the right and a list of CNC Machine Tools associated with this Workstation will be displayed. Select the CNC Machine Tool that you wish interact with and a list of Queued DNC Files is displayed with options to manipulate Files on the Queue. Depending on the state of the present File in the Queue you should be able to Abort, Restart, Search(Safe Starts) & Start.
SuiteDNCTM support two basic types of Machine Monitoring for controlling the Machine Queues, Remote Requests, Starting points within a DNC File and activing a Stuck DNC Communications Port and more. The Modes of operation are Manual and Remote Request.
Note: Machine Monitoring in the above sense is not Event Monitoring which is used as part of production monitoring.
If your "Shop Model" provides operators with access to computers at a central location or to Cell Clients that supports small numbers of related Machine Tools or to a dedicated Client at your Machine Tool you would use SuiteFactory's Manual mode. With this type of configuration your operators have access to the SuiteFactoryTM(pdf) or (html) Client so they can perform the following types of tasks: Downloading, Uploading, Editing, Viewing Packets(Associated Documents), etc. as needed to perform their task(s). Access to SuiteFactory is of course governed by the "Rights" granted by the Administrator.
If you already allow operators to access a Client at or near their Machine Tool or if the operations they are performing require considerable interaction it probably makes sense to use SuiteFactory'sTM Manual Mode of Monitoring Machines.
This Mode of Monitoring Machines makes sense when access to Client Computers is not locally available or you wish to restrict operator's access to Client Computers. In this Mode an Administrator can selectively activate a set of "Remote Commands" for individual Machine Tools allowing operators to uploaded these "Remote Commands" to SuiteFactoryTM(pdf) or (html). These "Remote Commands" are then parsed and analyzed by SuiteRequestTM so SuiteFactoryTM(pdf) or (html) can respond to these "Remote Commands" allowing some of the following: Downloading, Uploading, getting a Help File, getting a List of available DNC Files, etc.
Accessing the Window above allows you interact with the Queue of non-active(not executing) Jobs for this Machine Tool so you can Delete, Delete All or Rearrange the Queue. Any action here will not delete files from SuiteFactoryTM(pdf) or (html) only this Queue!
You will notice that the Window above is used both in the "Manual Mode" and the "Remote Request" Mode. The only difference between the two is that the top "Job" displayed in the Queue is really an indicator that SuiteFactory is in the "Remote Request" state and is waiting for commands to be sent from the Machine Tool or processing the command.
When in this state the operator uploads commands from the machine tool to SuiteFactoryTM(pdf) or (html) for processing. Even though the operator usually doesn't have access to this Window an Administrator can use this Window to manipulate the Queue as needed just as in the "Manual Mode".
SuiteMonitoring is the SuiteFactoryTM(pdf) or (html) Module for Efficiently Creating, Managing & Collecting Real-Time CNC Machine Events, Production Events, etc. You can use SuiteMonitoringTM(pdf) or (html) to Collect, Record, Manage & Generate Reports For: Cycle Counts, Cycle Times, Idle Times, Cycle Start, Cycle End, Probe Data, Tool Changes, Feed Rate Override, Machine Hold, etc.
Most modern CNC's have the capability to send customized messages out there RS-232 port during part program execution. The above Window allows you to select a set of Sign-Off States that a User of this User Group has access to allowing them to Access any DNC Files & Packets in these Resource Collections should these DNC Files & Packets have been Approved to this Sign-Off Level. What this allows you to do is to restrict access to these DNC Files & Packets depending on the User Groups' Rights.
As an example suppose you have the same Resource Collection associated with two User Groups one that can has "Rights" to Sign-Off State_1 & Sign-Off State_2 and another with only "Rights" to Sign-Off State_2. Even though both Users have access to the same DNC Files & Packets User one has access to the DNC Files & Packets(CNC Travelers) in both Sign-Off States where User two only has access to DNC Files & Packets that are in ISO9000 Sign-Off State_2.
The above Window allows you to select the various "Users" who are to be associated with this User Group and thus gain the "Rights" that this User Group has. If a User belongs to multiple User Groups they will inherit the "Rights" from these User Groups subject to some restrictions based on the Resource Collections associated with each User Group.

Are there times when you wish your operators could find help for themselves and not bother you! Are their questions the same old questions regarding SOP, Machine clean up policies, OHSA requirements, Fixture uses, Special Equipment Operation, etc.? Wouldn't it be nice if they could request this help right from their CNC Machine Tools?
SuiteHelpFilesTM provides the tools that help you create Generic, Specific & Default Help Topics. When an operator needs help they will not have to bother you but just upload a remote request file for a particular Help Topic and that file will be sent to them immediately. Not only will the file be send to them immedately but a record of this Event is maintained in the database! Now consider that this is an electronic file which requires only one copy and only this one copy needs to be maintained and kept up to date.
SuiteHelpFilesTM helps you manage & organize your Shop Floor by helping you providing answers to the Standard Questions your shop personnel asks without bothering you! SuiteHelpFilesTM includes a Universal Help Dictionary Generator and Processor for any CNC.
Using SuiteHelpFilesTM you can create "Generic Help Topics" without limits for use by any and all machine tools. I.E. OSHA requirements, Standard Proceedures, etc. You can create a "Default Help Topic" for a specific machine tool and also create "Specific Help Topics" for a specific machine tools such as Standard Operation Instructions, Safety Precautions, Fixture Installations, even Maintenance Instructions, etc.
If you have text based Help Files or even Microsoft Word Documents that you deem useful for shop floor operators to access right from their CNCs just cut and paste using SuiteHelpFiles and you can immediately create any Help Topic meet your company's and or OSHA's requirements.
If OSHA requires that you have certain documents available to an operator right at his CNC then SuiteHelpFilesTM is a must for your shop floor! These Help Files are stored in SuiteFactory'sTM Database and can be accessed directly from the CNC Machine Tools by issuing simple Remote Commands to SuiteFactory'sTM SuiteRequestTM Commands.

This Purge directley purges the data and doesnt' Archive the History Data!
SuiteLicenseTM utilizes SuiteFactory's Object Oriented Based Development where Modules and Features were developed and incorporated into SuiteFactory as Independent Objects minimizing any Object Entanglement.
Since the Objects are not Entangled it is possible to activate any and all of the Options & Features selectively for SuiteFactory over the Internet as a Customer's needs change without CAD/CAM Integration, Inc. having to visit. In minutes you can add any Option or Feature and we will EMail you a new License & Key! Need Training? We offer over the Internet Training coupled with lots of Training Documents you can download.
Note: SuiteFactory supports many different Machine Tool Types as indicated above. Each individual Machine Tool to which you need to Communicate requires a License.
For "Manual" CNC Machine Tools SuiteFactory's provides SuiteMDI that allows Manual Data Input Events & Data to be entered & collected. This does require a PC to be located at or near the "Manual" CNC Machine Tool.
Note: Client Sessions are SuiteFactory Active Workstations that can be used to access SuiteFactory from anywhere on the Network. You need at least one Session License to access SuiteFactory. Note that included as part of the Base Package are four SuiteDNC Sessions.
If you require Programmers, Mfg. Engineers, Quality Control Engineer, Manufacturing Shop Floor Supervisors, etc. to access SuiteFactory you will need a Client Session License.
Note: Resource Collections are a special type of container specifically for DNC Files and Packets(Operations). They also provide the associations to the specific CNC Machine Tools that can use the contained DNC Files.
Each Machine Tool License includes two Resource Collections where the usual use is to have one of the Resource Collections hold the DNC Files for Downloading to the CNC Machine Tool and the other for DNC Files uploaded from the Machine Tool which make them usefull for segregating DNC Files Modified at the CNC.
Beside using "Resource Collections" for Machine Tool Associations they can also be used to segregate DNC Files according Customers, Jobs, etc.
Resource Collections also have special capabilities for Automatically Importing and Naming DNC Files and providing special processing of downloaded files such as placing a hold on them or deleting them. These can provide additional security & provide Time Savers for Administrators.
DNC Files, CNC Machine Tools and Packets can easily be moved to and from Resource Collections and can be Associated & Unassociated with User Groups for efficient Management manually or using Drag(Internal/External) & Drop Operations.
Note: SuitePacs is a special type of container which can hold DNC Files, Controlled Documents(Requires SuiteDocs), Uncontrolled Documents and Sub Packets.
A Packet can be used as an Operation, as in a CNC Traveler, or for associating Manufacturing Documents, DNC Files & Packets that Engineers, Programmers, Supervisors, etc. may use to manage their DNC Files, Manufacturing Documents, Sub-Packets & Projects.
If you are using Packets as Operations you can associate these with Resource Collections which will then allow Manufacturing Shop Floor Users to be able to directly download DNC Files to CNC Machine Tools and View any Manufacturing Documents, Drawings, Process Sheets, DNC Files, Quality Documents, etc. contained in this Packet.
To extend its usefullness you can optionally license SuiteThirdPartyTools which would allow you to access external applications which, for example, could allow you to backplot DNC Files, Apt Files, etc.
Note: SuiteDocs is a full fledged stand alone Document Control Application and can be used without SuiteDNC. It includes all of the SuiteFactory Modules needed to qualify as a Document Control System with Options that enhence it so it can be fully ISO9000 compliant.
If you need to access Third-Party Applications you can Optionally add SuiteThirdPartyTools and connect to almost any Microsoft Command-Line Compliant External Application.
Note: Client Sessions are SuiteFactory Active Workstations that can be used to access SuiteFactory from anywhere on the Network. You need at least one Session License to access SuiteFactory. Note that included as part of the Base Package are four SuiteDocs Client Sessions.
If you require Programmers, Mfg. Engineers, Quality Control Engineer, Shop Floor Supervisors, etc. to access SuiteFactory you will need a Client Session License.
SuiteRequestTM is an Univeral CNC Remote Request Command Generator, Server and Processor. It is used to Generate a Complete set of "Machine Tool to SuiteFactory" CNC Remote Commands formatted specifically for each type of controller.
These Remote Commands are then stored on the CNC Controller where an operator can output these to SuiteFactory'sTM SuiteRequestTM(pdf) or (html) Command Server and Processor. The Command Server receives these Commands(DNC Files) to which SuitFactory's Command Processor parses, analyzes & responds appropriately.
SuiteRequest
SuiteSecurityTM is comprized of User Groups, User Group Rights(over 130 Rights in 11 different categories), Users, Logins & Passwords, Virtual File Cabinets, Resource Collections, restricted "Views" in User Configurable Combinations which provide any level of Security that a Company may need.
You create any number of User Groups with User Group Rights within which you add any number of Users, Resources & ISO9000 Sign-Off States. These Users then inherit these User Group Rights which allows them to Access SuiteFactory's Specific Features, Specific Data and Specific Resources Associated with the Specific User Groups to which they belong.
Note: By selectively setting Rights in these various Security Categories you control the "Access" Level of Users in this User Group. Couple this with juridical use of Resource Collections & Sign-Off States you have complete and full control of Security for all of Manufacturing Documents, DNC Files & Data.
Note: A Company can create any number of Specific "Document Change Reason Forms" from which a User can select when prompted by SuiteFactory to Events that occur when making Changes, Deleting, Viewing, etc. to Documents/Files. These Forms also provide an area for entering an explanation for these "Changes" and is then stored in the History Change Database.
Note: A Company may not want to have SuiteFactory Prompt them everytime an Event happens. SuiteSecurity allows you to select Events to which a User is to Respond. Note however that even if a User isn't required to respond to an Event this Event is still recorded in SuiteFactory's History Database.
Note: Optionally using SuiteFactory's Virtual File Cabinets provides another Level of Security by restricting "Access" to DNC Files, Manufacturing Documents & Packets that are contained in a File Cabinet Draw to which selected Users have access Rights. Virtual File Cabinets also provides a Sophisticated Management Tool for controlling all of a Company's Files/Documents/Packets.
Note: For Users who need access to DNC Files, Packets & CNC Machine Tools, Resource Collections not only provide a way to segregate the Correct "DNC File to CNC Machine Tool Relationships" but provide another Level of Security so only those Users who should have "Access" to these Files, Packets & Machine Tools do have "Access".
Note: For Users who are restricted to accessing to DNC Files, Manufaturing Documents & Packets that have reached at a particular Approval Level the use of Sign-Off States provides another Level of Security. If the File/Document/Packet has not been Approved for this Level the User can not have access.
Security starts with the User Group(s) in which a particular User(s) belong(s). The User(s) inherts the Specific Rights Configured from the 11 Categories for each of the User Groups within which they belong.
Using DNC Files as an example we note that even though a Particular User(s) may have Specific Rights to Manipulate DNC Files if this User doesn't have Resource Collections Associated with one the User Group(s) they belong to they will not be able to "Access" these DNC Files.
If a User needs to Communicate with a Particular Machine Tool they will not only need access to the Resource Collection containing the required DNC Files but a Machine Tool will need to be Associated with this Resource Collection.
Further if Virtual File Cabinets are used then this User must also have Rights to a Particular File Cabinet to Access their Files.
If Approval and Sign-Off is used then the User must belong to a Specific User Group which is Allowed Access to N/C File at a particular ISO9000 Sign-Off State.
You can have any Level of Security from "None" to "All" as dictated by your Company's needs.
Note: Documents' and Packets' Security is handled similarly.
You have DNC Files, Documents, Help Files, Event File, Packets, etc. These exist as duplicate files & documents in various folders & states and you want to view their Data Relationships from many different "Views". Are these Files/Documents/Packet waiting to be siged off, what sign-off state are the in, are they checked out by a third-party application, are they unapproved, are they assigned? So many questions what can you do?
SuiteViewsTM provides over 120 different Data Relationship Views so you can access DNC Files, Documents and Packets based on the various relationships they have with each other. See the various Data Views below:
SuiteFileCabinets'TM "Virtual File Cabinet(s)" allows you to View Data Relationships from within a "Virtual File Cabinet(s)" or as a Data Entity by itself thus multiplying your Relationship Views by two times!.
File Relationship Views are very important in efficiently and effectively helping you manage your Data. How you View a Data's relationships with other Entities and Data effects how efficiently you perform your management tasks. SuiteViewsTM can help by multiplying your Relationship Views by six times!.
Assigned or Unassigned Files/Packets Views are very important in efficiently and effectively helping you manage your Data. How you View a Data's relationships with other Entities and Data effects how efficiently you perform your management tasks. SuiteViewsTM can help by multiplying your Relationship Views by two times!.
Viewing of DNC Files, Help Files or Both are very important in efficiently and effectively helping you manage your Data. How you View a Data's relationships with other Entities and Data effects how efficiently you perform your management tasks. SuiteViewsTM can help by multiplying your Relationship Views by three times!.
Approved or Unapproved Files/Documents/Packets Views are very important in efficiently and effectively helping you manage your Data. If you are in Manufacturing you are always working on many different projects simultaneously you need to handle, organize, file and store what seems to be and never ending number of files and documents into File Cabinets. You know that it takes an enormous amount of time to locate, organize and store these DNC Files & Manufacturing Documents. Then, later, you will need to locate the Manufacturing Documents & DNC Files which requires that you locate the File Cabinets in which these documents are stored and manually retrieve these. Oh, you forgot the key for the lock?
Note: If you modify these documents this can cause more headaces & problems but not if you are are using SuiteFactoryTM(pdf) or (html)! We automatically take care of these updates including the secure storage.
File Cabinets have been around for a Century or more. They have provided a place for organizing and storing of all of your important & unimportant documents. All you had to do was to purchase another piece of "furniture" and find a home for it! Depending on where it's home was it could take personnel a considerable time to locate and access any needed documents. What about Securite? If you needed security you had to use a Lock. As with all technology at onetime it was a time saver but now a time waster!
The standard solution for organizing files and documents has been to use the trusted File Cabinet. File Cabinets have been used for centuries to organization files and now SuiteFactoryTM(pdf) or (html) has developed the electronic paradigm of the File Cabinet, "Virtual File Cabinets".
Need to provide a "Lock" for your Virtual File Cabinet Security? SuiteFactoryTM provides a "Virtual Lock" that allows you to establish access levels for any Virtual File Cabinet thereby limiting access to only authorized Users.

During our 28 years of developing shop floor manufacturing applications, manufacturing's need to maintain their competitive edge has motivated them to transition from
In the Analog World Events/Data were recorded on various pieces of paper, in people's memory and in some cases not at all. If these Events were recorded it was done after the fact where the data could be manipulated to fit the desired results! These manipulated results were then painstakingly feed into the other disparate Analog Applications so they could "Communicate"! When we say "Communicate" it is more like trying to use an interpreter and we know how that works!
Today Manufacturing has to deal with ISO9000 Requirements, Government Requirements, Corporate Requirements and of course Customer Requirements so its not only the Production Events/Data that needs to be Captured and Shared amongst Applications but all relevant Events! Some of these Events/Changes occuring in Manufacturing are: Uploads, Downloads, Machine Events, Editing, Deleting, Copying, System Errors, System Accesses, etc. that can affect quality, efficiency & schedules need to be captured, stored and immediately made available for analysis.
If your Applications are truly Integrated not only do they need to communicate and share data with themselves but they must maintain communications with the Outside World! If your Applications can't "talk" to external Applications such as Microsoft's Applications Suite just how Integrated are they?
Note: SuiteFactoryTM(pdf) or (html) includes SuiteThirdPartyToolsTM(pdf) a Third-Party Communication's Channel so you can keep in touch with your third-party applications and the Outside World.
Our Suite of Integrated Digital Applications for Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, etc. are fully "Event Capture Ready" right out of the Box Capturing Real-Time Events as they occur including any Third-Party Application's data stored in SuiteFactoryTM(pdf) or (html).
Need Reports? Use SuiteReportsTM(pdf) or (html) with it's Custom Filtering for displaying, sorting, exporting & printing these Events in any number of configurable Reports!

Note: CCI's Original DNC has Evolved into "SuiteFactoryTM(pdf) or (html)" with its Family of Integrated Digital Solutions:
CAD/CAM Integration, Inc. is a leading supplier of Shopfloor Control Enterprise Manufacturing Systems addressing the needs and requirements of medium to large size National and International Manufacturing Enterprises.
CCI's Suite of Applications supporting these National and International Manufacturing Enterprises by address the varied and complex issues including but not limited to: Factory communications by supporting Fanuc Controllers, Mazak Controllers, Haas Controllers, Yasnac Controllers, etc.; Document control; Records management including the ISO9000 Quality Control requirements of Who, What, When, Where, Why and How; Real-Time Event Capture; Data Integrity; System Access Control; System Activity Logging; Error Capture and Reporting and International Language Support. Any Manufacturing System must support these Features if it's to call itself an International Enterprise System.
Help yourself and more importantly help your Customers and make sure your Factory Automation System is ISO9000 based, is Error Capture Enabled, is Records Management Based and is Translation Language Enabled.
SuiteFactory Enterprise supports you and your customers by incorporating these basic features into SuiteFactoryTM(pdf) or (html) so you can compete in the Domestic and International Market Places. Your customers expect these capabilities to be part of your offerings no matter what product or service you offer them. Don't you expect these from your vendors? If you don't require these from your vendors, then what do you think your vendors will be supplying to you, which in turn means what will you be offering to your customers.
Beside the ability to capture and handle errors an International Enterprise System must not only support various languages but must provide local users/distributors the capability to immediately modify the supplied language translations to suite their needs. This capability must be available without requiring the language changes be sent back to the developer for incorporating in the next release. In extreme cases a user/distributor must be able to create a translation from scratch and incorporate this in the application for immediate use. CCI's Language Module is the answer.
In addressing these requirements CCI has developed the following offerings:
was born in July of 1983 using its four partner's diverse expertise to develop its mid-range multi-tasking, multi-user Unix Communications System. This system was first installed in defense contractor facilities who's business required the ability to drip-feed very large files to manufacture airfoils for their customers. Starting with just three CNC's they have grown to over 50 CNC machine tools with Fanuc Controller, Mazak Controller, Haas Controller & Yasnac Controllers. Ah yes, they are still our customer after 29 years!.
With the acceptance of PCs into the market place, circa 1985, there was a trend for using PCs to provide factory floor communications. Responding to this demand CCI developed a real-time Unix based PC System meeting the customer's needs for PC based multi-user, multi-tasking systems. Times were changing and during this same time period customers were beginning to address the issues of central storage, security and data management, which DOS system didn't adequately address. This was the beginning of LAN based systems.
At almost the same time a major aerospace customer asked us to port our factory automation software to a Novell LAN based system. This lead to our first real life experiences with LANs and their particular requirements. Life since, has not been the same for businesses in general and in particular, the manufacturing industry.
From 1985 until 1989 these systems evolved and matured into three basic product choices. Unix, VMS and DOS base Systems. Unix and VMS were the choice of larger enterprises while DOS was preferred of small factories.
In the 90's CCI received a DNC Software, sometimes referred to as distributed numerical control, contract from Pratt & Whitney, which was one of the largest contracts for a factory automation system up to that time. Pratt chose this system over all competitors because of the ability of our systems to communicate with all of Pratt's existing manufacturing systems from machine tools to all of their manufacturing system through one system, our Network Communication Server, instead of three separate Systems right from the machine tool. The operator didn't have to leave their machine.
Manufacturing was changing as Microsoft was redefining how industry was using computers to more efficiently operate their businesses. Microsoft realized that data storage, retrieval, security, user friendliness and multi-tasking was a necessary ingredient if they were to survive and dominate the "PC" application market. This resulted in the first multi-tasking system, Windows 3.1.
Even though this was a great step forward for office based businesses, for Manufacturing this operating System was not a suitable choice. We decided not develop our systems based on Windows 3.1 since this was not a preemptive operating system. In other words it was possible for an application to hog all of the resources of the computer and not allow another application access. Our thought was if you were drip-feeding and an application hogged the operating system you could ruin a part that you were cutting! As it turned out this was indeed the case and Windows 3.1 didn't cut it for manufacturing.
With the release of Windows 95 the operating system was more "preemptive" and we felt that it was time for us to start our conversion process. With the advent of Windows 95 the demand for Unix and VMS systems declined rapidly and with good reason. The Windows Operating System was being used in all facets of business and most companies just didn't want to have to maintain multiple operating systems. So Unix and VMS were no longer the choice for manufacturing.
In 1996 we finished developed of our first Windows based System, the DNCWin product, which was the foundations of our future offerings. Not following the crowd and releasing the long term needs of manufacturing we decided from the on-start to build all our applications around a database for security, data integrity, data accessibility and for providing a system that could meet the requirements of ISO9000 Quality Control Systems.
Since the creation of DNCWin our product offerings have evolved into to suite of products that meet the needs of Domestic and International discrete manufactures. Our present offering address the needs of Document and Records management, Factory Communications including wireless, data access security, machine status collection and reporting, third-party integration, special factory automation software development, etc.
SuiteFactoryTM(pdf) or (html) is an International Manufacturing Software System that will continue to evolve as we add the features that are requested by our customers and meets the needs of International Discrete Manufactures for Shopfloor Control and Quality Control.

CNC Software, Inc. is dedicated to providing state-of-the-art software tools for CAD/CAM manufacturing markets. Our goal is to provide superior software products based on our users' needs to solve simple to complex design and machining problems. In addition to providing the software, it is also our goal to provide exceptional service and support to our customers.
Founded in 1983, CNC Software is one of the oldest companies in the PC-based CAD/CAM industry. The company was built on the concept of providing an inexpensive PC-based CAM system at a time when most other systems were expensive CAD-oriented products. CNC Software was one of the first companies to introduce CAD/CAM software designed for both the machinist and the engineer, providing a practical solutions to both markets.
While the original version of Mastercam focused on two-dimensional (2D) CAM, it was also one of the first micro-based CAM packages to include CAD capabilities. With Mastercam, the engineer could construct his or her own parts quickly and easily as well as machine them, for an affordable price.

What exactly is SpiderCool? It is an Automatic Coolant Nozzle System for machining centers.
SpiderCool memorizes where coolant is aimed on each tool, then adjusts automatically while the machine is running oriented so the coolant stream is aligned to the spindle centerline.
On standard installations, the machine's existing coolant pump is plumbed to the SpiderCool and the same Coolant ON-OFF commands are programmed into the control.
A higher volume/pressure coolant pump can be installed to dramatically improve cutting performance.
There are no M-Codes or G-Codes to write into your program, and adjustments can be made and re-memorized at any time during the machining cycle

GE - Aviation is the world's leading producer of large and small jet engines for commercial and military aircraft. We also supply aircraft-derived engines for marine applications and provide aviation services. GE - Aviation's technological excellence, supported by continuing substantial investments in research and development, has been the foundation of growth, and helps to ensure quality products for customers.
When the United States entered World War I in 1917, the U.S. Government searched for a company to develop the first airplane engine "booster" for the fledgling U.S. aviation industry. This booster, or turbosupercharger, installed on a piston engine, used the engine's exhaust gases to drive an air compressor to boost power at higher altitude.
General Electric accepted the challenge first, but another team also requested the chance to develop the turbosupercharger. Contracts were awarded in what was the first military aircraft engine competition in the U.S.A. Under wartime secrecy, both companies tested and developed various designs until the Army called for a test demonstration.
Because principles and challenges in turbosuperchargers apply to gas turbines as well, GE was a logical choice to build America's first jet engine.
In 1941, the U.S. Army Air Corps picked GE's Lynn, Massachusetts, plant to build a jet engine based on the design of Britain's Sir Frank Whittle. Six months later, on April 18, 1942, GE's engineers successfully ran the I-A engine.
In October, 1942, at Muroc Dry Lake, California, two I-A engines powered the historic first of a Bell XP-59A Airacomet aircraft, launching the United States into the Jet Age. (The thrust rating of the I-A was 1,250 pounds; the thrust rating of the GE90-115B is more than 90 times as great at 115,000 pounds.

With more than a century of experience, Electric Boat has established standards of excellence in the design, construction and lifecycle support of submarines for the U.S. Navy. Primary operations are the shipyard in Groton, CT, and the automated hull-fabrication and outfitting facility in Quonset Point, RI, with a current workforce of 10,500 employees.
Electric Boat delivered the lead ship of the Virginia class, USS Virginia (SSN774), and the final ship of the Seawolf class, USS Jimmy Carter (SSN23), to the U.S. Navy in 2004. It is now currently engaged in the construction of the follow-on Virginia-class submarines with its teammate, Northrop Grumman Newport News. The company also continues to provide life-cycle support for ships of the Seawolf, Ohio and Los Angeles classes.
Construction of Electric Boat submarines begins at the Quonset Point, R.I., Facility, located on the shore of Naragansett Bay 50 miles east of Groton, Conn. Established in November 1973 at the soon-to-be-closed Quonset Point Naval Air Station, the Quonset Point Facility produces submarine hull cylinders up to 42 feet in diameter at its Automated Frame and Cylinder Manufacturing Facility. The hull sections are produced using a fraction of the manpower once required to form a traditional hull.
The Groton, Conn., shipyard, which EB acquired in 1911 when it purchased the New London Ship and Engine Co., has two major functions: first, submarine design and engineering; and second, submarine assembly, test and delivery. All Electric Boat design and engineering work takes place in Groton, supported by a network of modern digital design and analysis tools.

n 1904, King Gillette — who names their kid King? — received two patents on razors, blades, and the combination of the two. As the patents make clear, Gillette had a clear vision of the markets that he would create: "Hence," stated the patent application, "I am able to produce and sell my blades so cheaply that the user may buy them in quantities and throw them away when dull without making the expense ... as great as that of keeping the prior blades sharp."
Gillette did more than invent a new razor and a new blade. As Chris Anderson notes in his recent business bestseller, Free, Gillette invented an entire business strategy, one that's still invoked in business schools and implemented today across many industries — from VCRs and DVD players to video game systems like the Xbox and now ebook readers. It's pretty simple: invest in an installed base by selling a product at low prices or even giving them away, then sell a related product at high prices to recoup the prior investment. King Gillette launched us down this road.
