Physical WorkstationsAdding RocketPort DriversRocketPort drivers are needed for Multi-Port Adapters or Ethernet Serial Hubs. Click on appropriate link to learn more. Assigning Machine ToolsMachine Tools are assigned to Physical Workstations and the associate COM Ports both local and remote. Registering 3rd Party ToolsThis is where third-party Application(s) can be associated with physical workstations assigning these to the appropriate "User Groups". This will allow "Users" with access privileges to third-party applications for launching, viewing & editing of SuiteFactory Documents/Files.
Click on the "Configure 3rd-Party Tools" icon and the following Window will be displayed. New
If there are multiple Workstations select the workstation that you are presently at and click on the "New" Button and the following Window will be displayed. Application selection
Select the application that you need for modifying/viewing, etc. the files that are stored in SuiteFactory's database. This must be done for each physical workstation where these applications are resident. After selecting the needed application and clicking on the "Open" button the following Window will be displayed. Naming Third-Party Tool Application
Give the chosen application the name that you want displayed in SuiteFactory. Click on "OK" button and the following Window will be displayed. Properties
With the Application "WINWORD" highlighted click on the "Properties" button and the following Window will be displayed. Edit Properties Tool
NameThis is the name displayed for the third-party Application Chosen. Executable Program PathThis is the path where the third-party Application resides Command Line Arguments to OpenThis is the command line arguments passed to the third-party Application. In general don't change this unless you know what you are doing. Command Line Arguments to RunThis specifies the command line arguments that are passed to a third-party Application that you are starting from SuiteFactory without passing a file stored in SuiteFactory. As and example if you wanted to start up a scanner to scan a file not stored is SuiteVault and the third-party Application needs a special command line argument type it here. Note: It is possible this line will be blank. Run Tool Startup PathThis specifies where you would like the third-party application to browse or save its files after operating on them. This is for use for starting up third-party Applications without selecting a file for SuiteVault. Note: Some Application will can not be set using this command line and you will need to point the application the first time you use it. Assign third-party Tool To "User Groups".
Highlight the "User Group" image and select the appropriate "User Group (s)" that will be using this application for running third-party Applications or will be editing SuiteFactory Documents/Files.
