Search Criteria with pick lists
- Governs who can access any item and to what extent – no access, view only, edit, delete, full access . . . The administrator can set up user groups with different rights to access the various features in the software.
- DNC files are controlled items subject to the SuiteFactoryTM rules as to who can access them, when and where.
- The ability to choose whether you want to force single versions or allow multiple versions of files
- Optional automatic sequential naming of imported DNC files. The automatic feature is generally used when search criteria fields are added to the file tables. In such cases the file name is unimportant to the shop user - the added fields define the file's contents and/or use.
- Mechanism for DNC File approval and signoff. Set dates for approval to become effective or end. Create ordered signoff lists.
- A powerful NC editor with features including re-sequencing, translation, scaling, mirroring, a datestamp function and macro creation. You can open multiple files in the NC editor for tasks such as side by side copy and paste.
- Built in text file compare utility. Check for differences between downloaded and uploaded DNC files or different versions of a file . . .
- Deleted files are automatically archived and can be retrieved anytime. Includes files deleted individually, by a list, overwritten during autoimport or upload from a machine tool controller.
- Simultaneous access to all machines for download and upload. Up to 512 machines/computer. There are no built-in limits to the number of machines you can configure in the database. Practical considerations are network speed and traffic and server and client computer speed.
- The ability to move a machine connection to any RS-232 port on any workstation or serial hub without having to re-input any parameter setup data.
- Header and trailer information and comments embedded in your DNC files can be stripped off before being sent to the machine controller.
- SuiteDNC can be configured to copy the header in the latest version of a file to a file that is uploaded from a machine tool controller.
- Mazatrol binary file support and optional Mazatrol file editing, viewing and converting between Mazatrol CNC types.
- Operators never have to leave their machine in order to send or receive a DNC files to or from the database. Includes Mazatrol CMT files.
- Send and receive files via Ethernet via UNC or FTP. Includes sending a list of files from the SuiteFactory database to the networked CNC.
- For older N/C controllers, we offer our own Fault Tolerant Behind the Tape Reader (BTR) interfaces. Data communications in “check-summed” packets guarantees error free data transfer from the database to the BTR’s memory.
- Large, 400KB revolving buffer for “infinite” tape length transfers with no data starvation.
- Parallel punch (FACIT) as well as serial uploading built in.
- Activity Logging for internal tracking or ISO9000 compliance. When this feature is turned on all file activity is recorded in the database. Every DNC file is tracked from creation or import to editing, renaming or copying, to eventual deletion. DNC file History Reports for ISO 9000 compliance can be viewed and printed.
- DNC File Reports sorted in various ways. The data from these reports can be printed by page or can be exported in many formats for further sorting or analysis. (Excel and Crystal Report formats for example.)
- Automatic Report Generation. Automatically export file activity data in user set intervals in many standard formats. (Text, comma separated, Crystal, Excel . . .)
- Resource Collections are containers used to match DNC files and users to machines. By grouping machines, files and users into particular Resource Collections, the files are matched to the machines for which they were intended, to be accessed by those users with rights to those machines.
- Segregate files to be sent to a machine from those received from a machine.
- Segregate files in any manner you wish. For example, for proven and unproven files or by jobs or customers or any category you wish.
- Drag and drop file assignment. Left mouse moves assignments, right mouse menu for Copy or Move selection.
- Import DNC files by drag and drop as well as Autoimport and manual import.
- Create your own “file cabinet” system for storage of DNC files (as well as documents and packets). Unlimited tree structure. Drag and drop with left mouse. Copy or Move menu with right mouse between file cabinets. Drag and drop Controlled Documents into its file cabinet. Setup security – limit who can visit any single file cabinet virtual drawer or folder.
- The Autoimport function enables you to drag and drop files and documents into folders to be automatically imported into the SuiteFactory database. Has the ability to strip off redundant file extensions (like .txt, .tap, or .nc for example) before naming the imported file. It also has the ability to add a prefix or suffix you can define for each Resource Collection to ensure unique file names.
- Copy a single DNC file or a list of files to an operating system folder.
- Launch 3rd party applications for editing or converting or viewing special DNC files, such as Mazatrol CMT binary format files while still controlling those files
- Customize the DNC file print header to include a standard title such as your company name and any or all search criteria information including ISO9000 file control data.
- From within the editor or DNC file viewer you can highlight an area of a file and print just that area.
- User defined “search criteria” and “search engine” gives you the ability to add unlimited extra fields or keywords to your DNC file database table. For example, drawing number, job number, customer, operation . . . and fields especially for ISO9000 file control requirements. The search engine helps you to quickly filter, sort and locate specific DNC files. Create pick lists for selected fields.
