Add New DNC File

SuiteFactory is a full featured communications and secure database driven system supporting full Document and File Control. 

As part of this Document Control System SuiteFactory provides a mechanism for storing related documents and files together for Engineering and Manufacturing.

This container is called a Packet. One way a Packet can be used would be to consider it as an "Operation" and be used as part of a "Traveler". 

Packets are secure ISO9000 based containers where any number of related documents and files can be associated including the ability to add any number of New DNC Files.

Manage Packets (Assigned - Add New DNC File)

Click on the "Add New DNC File" Icon and the following Window is displayed.

Enter the name of the New DNC File name and click the OK Button and the following Window will be displayed.

If you have not assigned, highlighted a Resource Collection, for this file you will get this warning.

Note: Normally you would associate a files with a Resource Collection as that is the only why a DNC File can be associate with a Machine Tool.  We will assume that you have chosen and a Resource Collection to assign this to. The following Window will be displayed.

If you want to add this DNC File to this Packet/Resource Collection click the OK Button and the following Window will be displayed.

Note: A New DNC File is a special kind of DNC File. It is empty and initially can only be populated by uploading from a file for a machine tool.  You will notice that the only Icon available is the Queue DNC File. This is seldom used but could be used where special development of N/C File is done directly on the Shop Floor.
