New Packet

SuiteFactory is a full featured communications and secure database driven system supporting full Document and File Control. 

As part of this Document Control System SuiteFactory provides a mechanism for storing related documents and files together for Engineering and Manufacturing.

This container is called a Packet. One way a Packet can be used would be to consider it as an "Operation" and be used as part of a "Traveler".

Manage Packets (Assigned - New Packet)

In the Text box just below the New Packet Icon enter the new Packet Name and click on the "New Packet" Icon and the following Window will be displayed.

You have now created a blank Packet which will need to have Documents and Files added.  See the details for adding these to this Packet.

Note: If you intend on creating only a limited number of "Packets" the Packet Name will be sufficient for your needs.  If you intend on creating a large number of "Packets" then using the "Packet Name" to retrieve a "Packet" can be cumbersome.  

To allow maximum flexibility it is suggested that you create "Search Fields" and populate these with Search Criteria.  You can further organize Packets into "File Cabinets" in any number of ways.  A "Packet" can belong in only one "File Cabinet" but can be in any number of "Resource Collections".
