Add Uncontrolled Documents

SuiteFactory is a full featured communications and secure database driven system supporting full Document and File Control. 

As part of this Document Control System SuiteFactory provides a mechanism for storing related documents and files together for Engineering and Manufacturing.

This container is called a Packet. One way a Packet can be used would be to consider it as an "Operation" and be used as part of a "Traveler". 

Packet can be comprised of N/C File, Documents and Un-Controlled Documents.  Un-Controlled Documents are Documents that are located anywhere on the LAN and are not directly controlled within SuiteVault.  There are times when a file which is external to SuiteFactory needs to referenced within a Packet. This is when you would add an Un-Controlled Document to a Packet.

Manage Packets (Assigned - Add Uncontrolled File)

Click on the "Add Uncontrolled File" Icon and the following Window will be displayed.

Important message below!

Click the "OK" button and the following Window will be displayed.

Click "Open" button to add this to the Packet and the following Window is displayed.

Rename File Window

If needed change the name of the File and click on the "OK" button and the following Window is displayed.

Note: You will need to exit the file selector Window.

These represent general operational procedures, which apply to all types of Documents/Files.  I.e. Every other "Packet" operation dealing with Controlled Documents, Un-Controlled Documents and N/C Files is identical.
