Fault Tolerant Behind-the-Tape-Reader Interface

FT-BTRä is a full-featured, industrial grade, low cost BTR (Behind the Tape Reader) with data I/O via a "fault-tolerant" data packet based protocol via an RS-232 link. Used with CCI’s SuiteDNC⁽ä⁾ and SuiteDNC-Lite⁽ä⁾ software for full database security and remote administration. Also works with our legacy products DNC500 and DNC1000.

512K memory standard with storage for the equivalent of more than 3000 feet of tape.

Infinite tape length support via revolving buffer.

Built in serial and parallel (FACIT) ports for uploading from CNC memory.

Connection for optional external LED and Reset, Rewind and Tape/BTR switches.

24 LED’s for status and troubleshooting.

Supplied with aluminum enclosure and external power supply module.

Note: If you have an older Machine Tool with an N/C Controller (i.e. Cinn. Big Blue, Fanuc 3000, etc.) or controller without a paper taper reader you can install a BTR allowing older machines to become part of your shop floor network.
