Change ViewOverviewIn general when you are managing files you only need to look at particular groupings. By grouping files according to a base set of criteria you narrow the files of interest considerably. SuiteFactory allows you to develop any number of "Relationship Views" relating Documents, File Cabinets, Approved/Unapproved, etc. If you want to narrow the resulting View of Files further you can use SuiteFactory's "SQL Search Engine". Manage Controlled Documents (Change View)
Select the Change View Icon and click and the following Window is displayed. Select Controlled Documents View
File Cabinets ViewingShow File CabinetsFile Cabinets allow you to manage/store Document in manner analogous to the way you store documents in your office with the added ability to restrict access and visibility. It is great management tool to aiding you to categorize file according to any criteria that meets your needs. File Cabinets are also secure only allowing specified User Groups access. You can create as many File Cabinets as needed and drag and drop these to any place on the File Cabinet Hierarchy you have access to. Hide File CabinetsThe are times when you need to see a view that shows all of the file and the File Cabinets would just interfere with what you are trying to accomplish. Select this option to just see all of the documents. Documents ViewsWhen managing files there is never a single right way to view and manipulate them. SuiteFactory provide multiple views for managing your files. See below for details on how to change views. All Controlled DocumentsControlled Documents Waiting for Sign-off
This view is for checking N/C Files that need given "Approved" status. SuiteFactory supports ISO9000 Approval of N/C Files before using. You can selectively have an N/C File setup for approval before it is used in production. You can setup a set of "Users" that need to approve this file before given the status of "Approved". See Approved/Un-Approved section. Approved Document ViewApproved Controlled DocumentsAn assigned file is a file that has been assigned/associate with a Resource Collection. Resource Collections are the glue that connect User Groups, Machine Tools and Packets together. If this option has been selected only assigned files are displayed. You would want to use this view if you were sending files to machine tools, want to un-assign files from a "Resource Collection", delete files, etc. Unapproved Controlled DocumentsAn un-assigned file is a file that has not been assigned/associate with a Resource Collection. Chose this option if you want to Assign a File to a "Resource Collection" or perform whatever actions their "Rights" allow.
