Computer Configurations

Overview

Determining the computer configuration and requirements for SuiteFactory depends on many factors including but not limited to:

  • The number of simultaneously executing SuiteFactory Applications
    I.E. SuiteFactory Runtime; Communications Engine; Auto Import;
     
  • The active number of machine tools communicating simultaneously and their baud rates
    I.E. If you are running at a baud rate of 19200 there a lots of events being processed per second then if you were running at a 2400 baud rate!
     
  • The number of other third-party applications running concurrently with SuiteFactory
     
  • Network Configuration and Hardware
  • The number of Allowed connections into the Computer Hosting the Database.
    Note: A Workstation supporting XP Professional allows 10 simultaneous connections into the workstation where a Server 2003 can optionally support many more connections into the database.
