Copy and Open with Third Party or Native Application

SuiteFactory provides Users with a means to store third-party documents in SuiteFactory's database (SuiteVault) and use a third-party application to edit these files. 

This provides a User with a means to control their documents like any other SuiteFactory File within SuiteFactory and therefore you they have complete ISO9000 control. 

If you need to copy a File from SuiteVault to an external folder for a third-party application but don't want to effect the original file see the following details how. 

Note: Performing this function doesn't delete or change the original file stored in SuiteVault.

Manage Packets (Assigned Items - Check Out and Edit...)

Click on the "Copy and Open..." Icon and the following Window will be displayed.

Select Third-Party Tool

You can select any third-party tool register to SuiteFactory or let Window decide what the Native Application is.  Following is an example of an Application modifying an exported file from SuiteVault.

You are warned if SuiteFactory finds another document with the same name in this temporary directory.  Normally you can overwrite. 

If for some reason you opened this file and edited with a third-party editor and didn't save this to one of your folders you may not want to overwrite.  No matter what at this stage SuiteFactory has no association with this file so no matter what you do this will have no effect on files stored in SuiteFactory's database.

Clicking the OK button will bring up the following Typical Application.

Third-Party Editor (Example: Word of Windows)

At this stage SuiteFactory has no knowledge of this exported file.
