Copy PacketSuiteFactory is a full featured communications and secure database driven system supporting full Document and File Control. As part of this Document Control System SuiteFactory provides a mechanism for storing related documents and files together for Engineering and Manufacturing. This container is called a Packet. One way a Packet can be used would be to consider it as an "Operation" and be used as part of a "Traveler". In order to save duplications when creating a new Packet SuiteFactory provides a very convenient method for copying a Packet and all of its referenced Document and Files to a New Packet. This is very useful if you need a new Packet where there are only minor changes needed from the original. See Below for details. Manage Packets (Assigned - Copy Packets)
Select the Packet you want to copy and click on the Copy Packet Icon and the following Window will be displayed. Select Resource Collections
If you only want to Assign this Packet to the same Resource Collections as the original Resource Collections click the Assign to the Same.. checkbox. You can also add any assign this new Packet to any other Resource Collections that you want. Note: Remember that a User can only have access to Packets that are assigned to Resource Collection that this User has Access Rights to. In most cases you will only want to assign a copied Packet to the same Resource Collections. Click the OK Button after selecting the Resource Collections and the following Window will be displayed. Copy Packet Window (New Name)
Select a New name and click the OK Button and the following Window will be displayed. Manage Packets (Assigned - New Packet GARFIELD_NEW)
Note: Make the necessary changes to the Packet.
