Delete File Cabinet

Overview

SuiteFactory provides management tools for managing the "Virtual File Cabinets" you create. One of these is to be able to delete a "File Cabinet" after creating it. 

In order to be able to delete a "File Cabinet" it can't contain other "File Cabinets", document, files or references to Packets.

Note: The View below is one of many relationship views that you can configure.  If you would like to modify this view click on the "Change View" Icon and select the options that best suite your needs.

 Manage DNC Files (Assigned Items)

To delete a File Cabinet highlight it and the following Window will be displayed.

If the File Cabinet contains any other File Cabinets, documents, etc. it will not allow you to delete it. In fact the delete Icon will be grayed out.

You will have to remove any references that may be associate with child File Cabinets which may look like a draw; folder; page; etc.

By clicking on the "Delete File Cabinet" this file cabinet will be deleted under the following conditions. 

• You have delete "Rights"
• This File Cabinet doesn't contain another File Cabinet (Draw, hanging folder, folder, etc.)
• This File Cabinet doesn't contain:
  • Documents
  • N/C Files
  • Packets

To make deletion easier you can move a File Cabinet to the last item in the "Chain", remove all files/documents/packets and then delete the File Cabinet.
