File Cabinet

Overview

Once you start to add thousands for files, documents and Packets to SuiteFactory it becomes difficult to manage these items if the only things available to you are long lists of these items.  This is where "Virtual File Cabinets" are a manager's dream and allow for the management of these items using the very familiar "File Cabinet" paradigm including the ability to set access privileges for each of its draws, hanging folders, etc. so you can securely manage all of your files, documents and Packets.

You can create as many "Virtual File Cabinets" as needed to manage all of SuiteFactory's DNC Files, Documents and Packets.  You can add file cabinet draws, hanging folders,  folders, etc. to any depth needed.

Select Source to Copy

This is the manual equivalent of starting to copy a file/document/packet from one location to another using the drag and drop procedure.  See the link at the left that explores both the manual and drag and drop methods.

Select Source to Move

This is the manual equivalent of starting to move a file/document/packet from one location to another using the drag and drop procedure.  See the link at the left that explores both the manual and drag and drop methods.

Complete Copy or Move

This is the manual equivalent of ending either a move or a copy of a file/document/packet using the drag and drop procedure.  See the link at the left that explores both the manual and drag and drop methods.

New File Cabinet

Delete File Cabinet

SuiteFactory provides management tools for managing the "Virtual File Cabinets" you create. One of these is to be able to delete a "File Cabinet" after creating it. 

In order to be able to delete a "File Cabinet" it can't contain other "File Cabinets", document, files or references to Packets.

File Cabinet Properties

SuiteFactory's "Virtual File Cabinets"  have three main properties that are used to name, determine import parameters and establish access privileges for each of its draws, hanging folders, etc. so you can securely manage all of your files, documents and Packets that are dropped or imported into them.
