FilterOverviewSuiteFactory provides many ways to narrow down the files you are viewing according to a set of criteria that a User can set. One of the ways used by SuiteFactory to locate DNC Files using its properties is it to use its Search Engine. This Engine can locate files based on any of its maintained properties including: creation date, modified date, search fields created by you, etc. Note: Chose the follow links to see how SuiteFactory provides the various Management Tools for accomplishing this. SearchThe SuiteFactory Search Engine allows you to search for files with almost any criteria stored in SuiteFactory's database. This includes: Creation date, modified date, search fields created by you, etc. The Search Engine allow you to locate DNC files by many standard properties but also to use the search data fields you have created. Clear SearchThe SuiteFactory Search Engine allows you to search for files with almost any criteria stored in SuiteFactory's database. This includes: Creation date, modified date, search fields created by you, etc. Note: Once you have narrowed down the files being displayed by using the Search Engine you may need to clear the effects of the using the Search Engine. Show Search Data WindowOne of the unique features that SuiteFactory provides its Users with is the ability to defined any number of search criteria fields which can be defined and associated with DNC Files. These fields are not limited to text but can be Key, Picklist, Integer, Single precision, Long precision and Date/Time fields. You can define these fields to be logically associate with a particular DNC File. I.e. Drawing, Customer, Fixture, Operation, Project, etc. Once these fields have been populated with this critical data you can locate any file from the hundreds of thousands of files by using SuiteFactory's "Search Engine". Switch to Search ColumnsBesides providing a View that allows the "Search Data Fields" to be displayed below the Files View Window SuiteFactory also supports a View that displays the search data fields to the right of the file names instead of the "normal" file properties.Note: This view would be used where you only need a visual for the data stored in these fields and don't need to add search data criteria in these fields. Edit PicklistPicklists are used by a User to select a predetermined value to add to search data fields when these fields have been set to a picklist field.
