Manual Import DNC File

Overview

During the normal operation of SuiteFactory there are times when a User will need to Import a single file into SuiteFactory's database and the use of the The "Maintenance Engine" is not needed or would be too cumbersome to use.

This is when the User would manually import a file/document into SuiteFactory.  This section explains what database options can be configured to meet the needs of your company.

DNC File Manual Import

Generate Automatic Name for Manually Imported DNC Files

Selecting this option will supply a unique DNC File Name automatically.  If the file name you have chosen from outside of SuiteFactory is not important use this option to reduce renaming of manually imported files.  The ID's are settable for each "Resource Collection" adding any the flexibility you need.  

How to Import Manually

Use Resource Collection Configuration

If this option is chosen SuiteFactory will use the Configuration Setting on the Resource Collection.

Accept Default Name Automatically

If this option is chosen SuiteFactory will use the Default File Name of the File being Imported.

Display User Dialog

If this option is chosen SuiteFactory will display a dialog box so the User can set the Name of the File.

Action After Import DNC File

Delete Source Operating System File

If this option is chosen SuiteFactory will delete the source file after importing the file into SuiteFactory.

Move Source Operating System File to Sub-Folder

If this option is chosen SuiteFactory will move the source file to a subdirectory called Import.

Leave Source Operating System File Where it is

If this option is chosen SuiteFactory will not delete or move the source file.
