New File Cabinet

Overview

Once you start to add thousands for files, documents and Packets to SuiteFactory it becomes difficult to manage these items if the only things available to you are long lists of these items.  This is where "Virtual File Cabinets" are a manager's dream and allow for the management of these items using the very familiar "File Cabinet" paradigm including the ability to set access privileges for each of its draws, hanging folders, etc. so you can securely manage all of your files, documents and Packets.

You can create as many "Virtual File Cabinets" as needed to manage all of SuiteFactory's DNC Files, Documents and Packets.  You can add file cabinet draws, hanging folders,  folders, etc. to any depth needed.

Note: The View below is one of many relationship views that you can configure.  If you would like to modify this view click on the "Change View" Icon and select the options that best suite your needs.

Create New File Cabinet Name

Name the "File Cabinet" with a name that will aid in organizing your Documents.

Click "OK" and the following Window will be displayed.

There now exists a "File Cabinet" with the name "Customers".  You will also notice that there are now several additional Icons that have been Highlighted. These include "Delete File Cabinet" and "File Cabinet Properties".

We will add two more levels  of "File Cabinets", a "Draw" of a Vendor named "Sandvik" and a "Hanging Folder" of Tooling. 

Highlight Vendors and click "New File Cabinet" and name the new "Draw" Sandvik and repeat naming the " Hanging Folder" Tool Holder.  The following will be displayed.
