Open Document with Native Application

Overview

SuiteFactory provides several ways to open a Controlled Document in a Native or with Third-Party Applications.  SuiteFactory allows configuring many Third-Party Applications to be used in the opening of any particular Controlled Document providing multiple ways to open a particular Controlled Document.

As and example you could have an application of open a AutoCAD document for viewing in a Window or Web Application, modifying an AutoCAD File using AutoCAD or another major CAD application. You are not limited to just a Native Application.

Note: To have this function correctly Windows needs to have an association of the file ending to an application.

Manage Controlled Documents (Open Document with Native Application)

Clicking on the Open Document with Native Application Icon will open the Document with a Native Application if Windows has established a relationship with the files ending.

Note: Once the Controlled Document is open SuiteFactory has no knowledge of any changes. What SuiteFactory does is make a copy of the select file in a temporary directory and startup the Native Application and that's it.
