SQL Server

Overview

If SuiteFactory can't be effectively deployed using Microsoft's Access database or your company's requirements don't allow the use of Access, SuiteFactory supports "SQL-Lite" MSDE, SQL Server and Oracle(2006).  If your active Users exceed 12 and or your system access is heavy SQL is probably a better choice then Access.

If you are installing SQL Server you will need to select this as the "Select a Database Provider" since the system defaults to "Microsoft Jet 4.0".  You should also select this option if you chose to use "SQL-Lite" MSDE.  MSDE is optimized for about 5 Users even though there is no limit.  MSDE has a minimum of Management tools available also.

Note: If you have an existing SuiteFactory Database that is "Access" based you will need to upgrade the database to version 6.5.211 before trying to upgrade to SQL Server.  You will also need the "Access to SQL upgrade Document" before proceeding.  Call CCI for details.  DO NOT Try this on your own!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
