Stand Alone

Overview

The Definition of "Stand Alone" implies that all three applications (Runtime, Communication Engine & Maintenance Engine) will be running simultaneously and that SuiteFactory's database is also installed on this workstation.  The operating system is workstation based not a real server.  

All of your machine tools would have a "Physical" connection to this workstation and could consist of Wireless,  Ethernet Serial Hubs , Serial Adapter Cards or combination of these.

This setup doesn't preclude you from running clients on other workstations. 

Note: There is a limit as to the number of active connections that a Workstation can have if it is not a Server. This is not a limitation of SuiteFactory but of the Workstation. See your IT personnel if you are having problems.

Processor Speed:

• 1 GHz Minimum
  For 0-8 Machine Tools
• 1.4 GHz Minimum
  For 8-16 Machine Tools
• 1.6 GHz  Minimum
  For 16-64 Machine Tools

Note: If you plan to have many Administrators accessing the database at the same time you should always opt for the fastest processor as possible.

System Memory:

• 512 Minimum
  For 0-8 Machine Tools
• 1024 Minimum
  For 16-32 Machine Tools

• 2048 Minimum
  For 16 Pluse Machine Tools

Note: If you plan to have many Administrators accessing the database at the same time you should always opt for the largest and fastest hard disk as possible.

Hard Disk:

• 5400 RPM Minimum, 7200 RPM or faster preferred
• Size As needed
  SuiteFactory has a 20Meg Bit foot print, which is comparatively small.  The real issue is the size and number of N/C Files and documents you will have on the system.
