Trim Header Trailer

Overview

SuiteFactory supports the ability to remove header and trailer information. This is usually different from comments even though it could be the same thing.  This section also allows you manipulate Headers and to copy a file from the data storage area to the local computer.  This is used if you are drip-feeding.

Strip Internal Header From DNC File Before Sending

If this box is checked you will need to establish the the ending character(s) of the header.  It is assumed that until this character(s) is found all previous characters are discarded.

SuiteFactory will then search for these character(s) and strip out everything between these characters and the Delimiter character itself if the following box is checked..

Send Header Delimiter

See above.

Get Header from Previous Version After Receiving

If this box is checked SuiteFactory will find the last version of the file and use the header information it contains and copy it to the uploaded file including the delimiter if the following box is checked.

Insert Header Delimiter

Strip Internal Trailer form DNC File Before Sending

If this box is checked you will need to establish the beginning character(s) of the trailer.  When a file is being sent to a machine tool and these character(s) are found all further characters are discarded. If the following box is checked the Delimiter character itself will be sent.

Send Trailer Delimiter

Copy Send File Locally Before Running

If you are doing drip-feeding you will need to check this option. If you are doing stripping of header information this is automatically selected and can't be turned off.
