Creating User GroupsOverviewSuiteFactory is similar to Windows in that it allows an Administrator to create User Groups and assign various Rights to it which restrict access to the Windows Operating System. You can then create Users and assign them to any User Group that is create and the User will gain the Rights for each User Group they below to. SuiteFactory's also use User Groups to establish unique system access "Rights" but also act as containers for "Users", "File Cabinets" and "Resource Collections", which in essence allows access to all system features. Click on the User Groups Icon to setup User Groups and the following Window is displayed. User Groups
This Window is used to manage and create new User Groups. There always exists two "User Groups", "Trusted_User" and "Everyone". Trusted_UsersThis User Group always has full system rights to SuiteFactory and as such should only be available to the System Administrator since anybody who belongs to this "Group" has the potential to destroy the system. EveryoneThis User Group applies to everybody that uses SuiteFactory. If you have rights that you would like to apply to everybody that uses SuiteFactory you should set those properties in this Group rather then in each "User Group" you create. To create a new "User Group" click on the "New" button and the following screen will be displayed. New User Group WindowIt is important to create "User Groups" with meaningful names to indicate the privileges that are associated with it.
Click on the OK button when complete and the following screen will be displayed. User Group Properties
You may change the name of the "User Group" and put in a timeout delay if you so chose. If security is of a concern a timeout interval is recommended. Note: Passwords are create and set for Users. Clicking the OK button displays the following Window. User Groups Window
