View

Overview

Since DNC Files are associate with various "Objects" such as : "Resource Collections", "Machine Tools", "Virtual File Cabinets" & "Packets" and can exist in many different "States" such as:  "Approved", "Unapproved", "Assigned", "Unassigned" & "Waiting for  Sign-Off" SuiteFactory provides a User with multiple ways to view DNC file Relationships & States. 

We will show a few examples of the various Views a User can obtain by setting the following parameters.

Manage DNC Files (Assigned Items) Initial View

We will use this view as the initial view and make parameter changes to see the different Views.

Show File Cabinets

Selecting this unselects the Hide File Cabinets and provides the following view. 

Note: The rest of the Views are displayed with the "Show File Cabinets" selected.

Hide File Cabinets

Selecting this unselects the Show File Cabinets. See the View shown above.

Files->Resource Collections and Machines

Selecting this unselects "Resource Collections->Machines->Files->", "Unassigned Files->Resource Collections->Machines", "Machines->Resource Collections->Machines->Files" and "Files Waiting for Sign-off" and produces the following View.

Unassigned Files->Resource Collections and Machines

Selecting this unselects "Resource Collections->Machines->Files->", "Files->Resource Collections->Machines", "Machines->Resource Collections->Machines->Files" and "Files Waiting for Sign-off" and produces the following View.

Machines->Resource Collections->Files

Selecting this unselects "Resource Collections->Machines->Files->", "Files->Resource Collections->Machines", "Unassigned Files->Resource Collections->Machines", and "Files Waiting for Sign-off" and produces the following View.

Resource Collections->Machines->Files

Selecting this unselects "Machines->Resource Collections->Files", "Files->Resource Collections->Machines", "Unassigned Files->Resource Collections->Machines", and "Files Waiting for Sign-off" and produces the following View.

Files Waiting for Sign-off

Selecting this unselects "Resource Collections->Machines->Files->", "Files->Resource Collections->Machines", "Unassigned Files->Resource Collections->Machines" and "Machines->Resource Collections->Files" and produces the following View.

Assigned

Selecting this shows any selected View with files that have been assigned to Resource Collections.  Selecting this set un-checks the Not Assigned selection below.  All of the above views have files that have been assigned to Resource Collections.

Not Assigned

Selecting this shows any selected View with files that have not been assigned to Resource Collections.  Selecting this set un-checks the Assigned selection above and displays the following View. 

Note: All of the above views have files that have not been assigned to Resource Collections.  You would chose this view if you want to assign files to a particular Resource Collection thus making these files accessible to Machine Tools associated with this particular Resource Collect.

View Approved DNC Files

Selecting this shows any selected View with files that have been Approved. It is possible to set both Approved and Unapproved DNC Files to be Viewed at once but there must always be at least one of these chosen.

View Unapproved DNC Files

Selecting this shows any selected View with files that are Unapproved. It is possible to set both Approved and Unapproved DNC Files to be Viewed at once but there must always be at least one of these chosen.

Show Authorized Users

This selection is only effective if you have chosen "Show File Cabinets". 

This View shows the User Groups who have access to a particular "File Cabinet". This is a management tool that allows file cabinets to be used to manage files and restrict file access to particular Users.

Set Default View

SuiteFactory allows a User to save their present position at a view level and return to it whenever they startup SuiteFactory.  Click on this menu choice to save the view.
