Virtual Workstations

Virtual Workstations are use within SuiteFactory to allow access to SuiteFactory and to provide SuiteFactory with count of the "Users" on the system at anyone time for controlling floating licensing.

Click on the Workstations Icon and the following Window is displayed.

You will notice that the virtual workstation DNC1 is associated with physical workstationJOE2.  The machine tools associate with this physical workstation are displayed.  

Clicking the "New" button will display the following Window.

Clicking OK will Create a new Virtual Workstation named DNC2

Delete Workstation

Highlighting a Virtual Workstation and deleting it will remove it from SuiteFactory's database but will not remove any critical data from SuiteFactory.  If this is done by mistake just click "New" and create a new workstation and setup the properties and you back in shape.

Click on the "Properties" button and the following Window will be displayed.

Properties

This Window is used to set the path on the present physical Workstation where temporary files will be placed.  These files are associated with 3rd-Party Tools.  If for some reason you prefer to set the path chose that option and select the path.  Normally if you are not sure leave the default.

You can also use the Window to "Un-Register" a workstation also.  Normally this is done from the Main Menu selecting the Configure Menu, etc.
