Workstations

There are two types of Workstations that SuiteFactory uses to Manage SuiteFactory, provide access to applications and COM Ports.

• Virtual Workstations
  are used to for managing all licenses and SuiteFactory and can be associate with any Physical Workstation at any time by un-registering, if necessary, and registering a virtual workstation to a particular session.  This will automatically associate the Virtual Workstation with the Physical Workstation you are presently logged into.
  
  Note: If a Virtual Workstation is actively being used by another User to manage SuiteFactory you will not be able to un-register it.  You can select another Virtual Workstation that is not registered or if a Virtual Workstation is registered but not being used you can un-register it and register it to yourself. If you have the rights you can also create a new Workstation if need be.
   
• Physical Workstations
  are used to registering RocketPort drivers for access to local and remote COM Ports (Virtual Machine Tool Servers), to manage physical connections to machine tools and to access installed third-party applications.
  
  Note: Applications are associate with a particular Physical Workstation and will need to be configured for each Physical Workstation.
