Searching for Files

Search Columns

Search Columns are used for two reasons one of which is to provide a User pertinent information for the selected file during normal operation while the other is to be able to use this stored data to search for a set of particular files meeting these data values and other customer supplied criteria driving SuiteFactory's Search Engine.

Customer Definable

These Search Columns are customer configurable and can be populated with many different types of data such as key words, dates, integers, text, pick-list, etc. which are used to help identify and retrieve DNC files.

Search Field Types

Text

A Text Field allows you to enter alphanumeric characters up to the size that you set.

Key Fields

A Key Field consists of a group of values that a field can support simultaneously.

Pick-Lists

A Pick-List Field consists of a group of values from which a particular value can be chosen for populating a Pick-List Field.

Date

A Date Field consist of value that is date formatted and can have a default date of today.

Boolean

A Boolean Field consists of a value of true or false only.

Integer

This Field can hold a integer value only.

Single & Long

These Fields can hold a decimal value.
